Enrollment will only be confirmed upon receipt of both a completed enrollment form on our online system and full tuition payment.
Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. Students may enroll in one or both modules of a course.
Baker & Bloom reserves the right to discontinue a student’s enrollment at any time due to non-payment of tuition in part or in full.
Baker & Bloom also reserves the right to suspend any student who displays disruptive or inappropriate behavior without refund.
Tuition
Course fees must be paid within 5 business days of receiving the sales invoice.
All course fees must be paid before the student commences classes with Baker & Bloom. Baker & Bloom reserves the right to cancel the student’s enrollment if course fees have not been paid.
If course fees are not paid within five (5) days after it is due, interest of 1% per month shall accrue on the overdue amount, from the date overdue until the date paid.
All course fees are non-refundable once the student’s enrollment has been confirmed, with the exception of course changes or cancellations made by Baker & Bloom (as described under the Course Cancellation clause below) or course withdrawals (as described under the Course Withdrawals and Rescheduling clause below).
The tuition fee for a course covers the specific class days and hours indicated in the course schedule. No tuition adjustments, pro rata or otherwise, and no refunds will be made regardless of the student’s attendance.
Baker & Bloom reserves the right to alter tuition fees, discounts, or promotional offers at any time without prior notice. No refund or credit will be offered for any discounts or promotional offers missed or forgone. Promotional offers cannot be used in conjunction with one another.
Course Cancellation
Baker & Bloom reserves the right to cancel a course if student enrollment does not meet the minimum number of students required to start a class, or for any reason we see appropriate. In such cases, a full refund for the course or any remaining classes will be issued.
Course Withdrawals & Rescheduling
[Regular Courses]
Baker & Bloom reserves the right to change the instructor for any group course, private class, or coaching sessions as deemed appropriate or necessary. Baker & Bloom is not required to provide prior notice for such arrangements.
To withdraw from a course, a student’s parent or legal guardian must provide a minimum of one month’s prior notice in writing (email). Withdrawals without appropriate notice will result in a charge of the following month’s course fees.
In the event of dispute, Baker & Bloom reserves the right of final say in matters of refund, rescheduling, and cancelation.
[Holiday Courses]
No refund will be issued for course withdrawals from our Holidays Courses.
Changes in Holiday Course Enrollment will only be accommodated if notification is received at least 2 weeks (10 business days) prior to the start of the course.
Holiday Courses can only be rescheduled within the holiday term as specified by Baker & Bloom, and cannot be carried forward to a future term/holiday.
While we will make every effort to accommodate change or reschedule requests, we cannot guarantee that the available time slots will fit the student’s schedule. If Holiday Courses cannot be rescheduled, the missed classes will not be refunded.
In the event of dispute, Baker & Bloom will hold all rights in refunds, reschedules, and cancellations.
Attendance & Make-Up Session Arrangements
[Regular Courses]
The maximum number of make-up sessions allowed per student is one if the student is enrolled in a single module, and two if the student is enrolled in a full semester course. Any additional make-up classes will only be offered at the complete discretion of Baker & Bloom.
Except for documented cases of illness, a student will be entitled to a make-up session only if notice of the absence is provided (by email) at least one week (5 business days) prior to the class being missed.
Available make-up options will be provided to the parent or student only upon prior request. Baker & Bloom will not accommodate a make-up session request for notification given on the day or after the scheduled class. Baker & Bloom does not guarantee that the proposed time slots will suit the student’s schedule. Baker & Bloom will not make additional arrangements if a student is unable to attend a proposed make-up session.
Make-up classes cannot be carried forward to another week. All make-up classes need to be taken during the same term the class is missed and cannot be carried forward to another term. Outstanding make-up classes will be forfeited after the last day of the term.
Make-up classes are non-transferrable between students or classes.
No refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided for missed classes.
In the event of dispute, Baker & Bloom reserves the right to make a final decision.
[Holiday Courses]
No make-up classes will be arranged for any absences from Holiday Courses.
No refunds will be provided for missed classes.
In the event of dispute, Baker & Bloom reserves the right to make a final decision.
Arrangement for Inclement Weather Conditions
Classes will be canceled when Typhoon Signal 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Signal is in force. In cases when such weather signals are lowered two or more hours before the scheduled start time of the class, students are expected to attend class as usual.
No refunds or make-up classes will be provided for classes canceled due to inclement weather conditions.
Arrangement for Other Unforeseen Circumstances
Should Baker & Bloom be unable to deliver in-center classes, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as arising from Covid-19 precautions, societal unrest or protests in the city, we reserve the right to either cancel classes or revert to online classes instead. All parents will be notified by email should such a decision need to be made.
In the case of class cancellation by Baker & Bloom, make-up classes will be arranged or a full refund of unused class credits shall be granted.
In the case of reverting to online classes, students are expected to attend class via a web link provided by the class teacher.
If parents do not wish for their child to continue lessons online, they may notify us by return email. Unused class credits may be saved for enrollment in other Baker & Bloom classes as specified in the email notification. No refunds or make-up classes will be provided for students who miss/decide not to take online lessons.
All other terms and conditions apply.
