Sinéad Bux Romatet has been interested in language, art, and storytelling from a young age. Growing up between Ireland and the Basque region in Spain, she learned to navigate different cultures and appreciate other’s perspectives. As a child, she was surrounded by creative people, and spent most of her time daydreaming about other worlds.

Sinéad has a BA in Linguistics and Philosophy from University College Dublin. As a linguist, she is able to analyze how languages develop and transform, as well as how we acquire and use them. As a philosophy student, she exercised critical thinking, learned to ask questions, and opened her mind to new ideas. She carries on these skills into her teaching.

After completing her degree, Sinéad went on to receive a Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA). She has taught English as a second language for the last four years. Her experience includes teaching in person in Ireland and in Russia, as well as teaching online to students from different countries. In Ireland, she worked as a volunteer in creative writing workshops. She has taught children of all ages, in groups and individually, and is always ready to adapt to students’ individual needs.

Outside of teaching, Sinéad enjoys traveling, learning new languages, and visiting aquariums. She is an avid cinephile, and spends most of her weekends at the cinema, watching anything from arthouse classics to low-budget horror films. Her ideal way to spend an evening is listening to an audiobook and working on a jigsaw puzzle with her cat.
