Ms. Chan is a dedicated and enthusiastic educator with a specialized background in early childhood education and Chinese language arts.

 

Her academic journey began with a focus on Preschool Education at Quanzhou Preschool Education College in China. She then furthered her studies by earning a degree in Early Childhood Education from Fujian Normal University. To deepen her expertise in the arts, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Arts at Hong Kong Metropolitan University.

 

Professionally, Chan Laoshi has gained valuable experience teaching in Hong Kong’s prestigious Montessori and International Baccalaureate (IB) schools. Her roles evolved from a classroom teacher to a Chinese Coordinator within the IB framework, where she was responsible for developing and implementing the Chinese language curriculum.

 

Chan Laoshi’s core teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that children learn best through joy and exploration. She strives to create a dynamic and stimulating learning environment where students can discover the Chinese language naturally. Beyond language acquisition, she is passionate about integrating music, various forms of play, and artistic activities into her lessons to foster well-rounded development and a lifelong love for learning.

 

陳老師畢業於中國福建泉州幼兒師範學校的學前教育專科,之後攻讀福建師範大學學前教育專業並且順利畢業。在香港都會大學取得中國語言及藝術文學士學位。

 

陳老師在香港的蒙特梭利學校和IB學校都有擔任過教師的經驗,並在IB學校擔任中文的協調員。她希望小朋友在快樂和探索中學習中文。並且用中文繼續探究新世界。

 

除了中文,陳老師還想通過音樂、各種形式的遊戲和藝術活動,帶給小朋友美的體驗和新的感受。
