Cynthia Pinto is the Kindergarten Coordinator and Teacher at Baker and Bloom, where she has dedicated four years to fostering a love of learning in young children. She finds great joy in working with them, and this passion drives her commitment to providing quality education in a safe and nurturing environment. Her goal is to create experiences that help children grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
Cynthia holds a teaching diploma in the Theory and Practice of the Montessori Method from Modern Montessori International and a Professional Diploma in Educational Studies from the London Teacher Training College, both earned with distinction. She is also a certified Orton-Gillingham* instructor, specializing in phonics, early literacy, and reading comprehension. Cynthia graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from India.

During her five years with the organization, she focused on rehabilitating children through education and ration distribution, helping them stay away from a life of petty crime and drugs.
Cynthia has experience working with children aged three to seven from diverse backgrounds. Prior to relocating to Hong Kong in August 2020, she worked for seven years at an international kindergarten in Singapore. After her move, she completed a 220-hour TEFL training program with a specialization in Kindergarten and Primary Learners.
She sees each student as an individual with their own distinct character and learning style, believing that recognizing these differences is essential for nurturing their intellectual, emotional, and social development. Cynthia is committed to creating a rich educational environment that not only builds a solid foundation for her students but also fosters discipline and ignites a lasting enthusiasm for learning.
*Orton-Gillingham is an explicit, systematic, developmentally appropriate, and multi-sensory approach used to teach literacy to both dyslexic and non-dyslexic students. It is one of the most well-regarded, research-based methods that address individual strengths and needs in learning how to read and write.
