We begin with a mock test assessment either in-center or at home. You will receive a reply within one week including the score, professional assessment, evaluation of student strengths and needs, and an initial plan for either one-on-one coaching or private group classes.
Primary admissions use the MAP test, an adaptive online multiple-choice test assessing English Language Usage, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics. Secondary admissions use the iDAT Concise, an online multiple-choice test that assesses Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, Mathematics, Critical Thinking, and Character.
Both tests are scored automatically. The MAP score compares students against other students in the same age range to provide an assessment subject-by-subject. The iDAT submits individual scores for most subjects directly to schools, but essays and spoken responses are sent without assessment.
Both tests cover grade-appropriate English grammar & usage, reading comprehension, and mathematics. The iDAT also covers listening, speaking, logical reasoning & critical thinking (“Global Knowledge”), and Character.
Both tests are age-specific, the MAP for primary admissions, and the iDAT for secondary.
